What We’re Learning:

Math– We will start solving word problems with addition problems to 20. They will be using the steps: Understand, Plan, Solve and Explain. While reading the problems, students will be circling the facts and underlining the question.  Continue practicing math facts at home. Students are making great progress!

Reading- We will continue learning about Main Idea and Details this week. All students should be reading aloud to someone for 20 minutes a night!

Writing-This week students will be writing a teaching book about something that they are an expert at.

Phonics-We will be learning about words that start with the blends: sn- as in snug and tr- as in trip.

Science- We will wrap up our unit on sound.

S.T.E.A.M.-Students had a fun time creating their recess bells. I hope you all had a chance to watch their videos on Seesaw!

Have a fantastic week!
