Important Reminders:
- Happy Fall! October Calendars are in the backs of the blue Communication Folders.
- Please send in a “small moment” Fall Break picture that your child can use to write about on Monday when we return! We have already discussed some of their plans and a “small moment” that they may be able to take a picture of!
Math-We will be learning how to subtract numbers from 10 and below this week. We will start by using a number line and also using 
manipulatives (counters.) We will work on our automaticity, as well as solving word problems involving subtraction. Please make sure you are practicing these facts at home with flashcards!
Reading– This week we will compare and contrast the different features of Fiction vs. Nonfiction text. We will categorize different books into these categories and will read a variety of both.
Phonics- Our phonics skill this week will be words that end in n-blends such as: print and thank. We will have our Spelling Test on Friday!
Writing-This week we will be writing about a small moment from our Fall Breaks. They will also be writing about their favorite seasons. Please send in a picture from your fall break that your child can use on Monday!
Science-This week we will be focusing on our beautiful four seasons. We will be identifying the defining characteristics of each and all the fun celebrations, related clothes, and activities of each.
S.T.E.M.- This week we designed and planned our weather instruments. Students selected their group members, the instrument they wanted to build, as well as the materials they will use. Thank you for sending in all the water bottles and paper rolls. They will be used!
