We did it!! Mrs. Fernandes’ Spooky Crew was amazing!! Everyone ran, jumped, and hurdled their hearts out! Way to go Mrs. Fernandes’ Spooky Crew!! Our class also designed an awesome poster which they each put their mark on!

Our Week At A Glance:
Reading: We will start learning about the features of nonfiction text! We will start to learn about the Table of Contents, Index and Glossary this week. If you have any nonfiction books at home, please try to reinforce this concept! Please make sure your children are reading 20 minutes every night!!
Writing: We will continue writing informational pieces. This week students will write about what they are an expert at. This could be a sport, an animal, their favorite game, etc. Continue reinforcing capitalization and ending punctuation at home!
Phonics: We will be learning about words with 3-letter blends, i.e.spring. Our tapping technique will come in handy with these words. Please look for the complete list in their red Homework Folders. As always, there will be a spelling test on Friday on 10 of those words, plus a Bonus word.
Science: We will start our unit on Sound!
S.T.E.M. We learned this week about the inventions that kids have created: earmuffs, the snowboard, popcicles. They were so excited to learn that they too can become an inventor, even as a kid! They designed their own invention. We will build our inventions using household items this week!
